The Bathroom

Okay...now this might not seem like a big deal to you but this has been 5 years in the making. We actually have a shower, a sink, and a toilet that works-even a floor and walls in our bathroom. Oh...and electricity! There is still work to be done but that's okay...it functions! Many, many thanks to my dad, Grandpa Evans and to Dusty! And of course to Chad. I will post before pictures on here sometime.

Here they are... The new DuCheney's!

Ha! Ha! No, there are no Chinese children (at least in the immediate future)...just two adorable kittens. I was very sad after Remmie died and needed another animal in the house. Chad actually said yes to not one but two! Let me introduce you to Rosie (the white cat) whose name changes on a daily basis (spot, dots-she has four black spots on her back, tippy, flower-and now Rosie). She is approximately 4 weeks old but not sure. And the black cat whose name was Albert(named by Drew) is now Lilly (we found she is actually a girl). Although Jayde does all (most of)the naming Dirk has named the cat Diesel and he doesn't care what anyone else says. Do you wonder the name Rosie came from?? Well, Jayde named her (we think she is a girl but could be wrong) after the flowers she took to Grandpa Maurice when he was in the hospital to make him feel better. So there you go!

Rosie...sorry about the eye crusties. I think she has an eye thing going on. We got her from a girl that mom works with. Rosie's mother had an unfortunate accident involving a Rottweiller. Chad likes this cat. He even admits it and lets the cat sleep on his chest.

This is Lilly/Diesel. She is a scaredy cat right now although she purrs all the time and will cuddle with you. She prefers to hide under the recliner and behind the drier. Dad found her outside his house after a storm. She preferred to stay inside the lawn mower at Vicki's house! I think she is a funny looking cat.

Lilly/Diesel...I decided I'm just going to call her L.D. lets Rosie beat up on her. I think it's sweet. Rosie was not too keen on having another cat in the house but they quickly bonded when LD let her be the boss.

July 4th at Hamilton Lake

Jayde picking flowers...isn't she precious

Amy and Ayden

This is what happens when you prohibit loud fireworks and explosives. Two grown dorks with sparklers. It is sad- but this year there were no exploding watermelons, near misses with boats, and children could actually come outside without fear of getting burnt, losing a limb or losing their hearing. However, no one was safe from the spotlight. Maybe that letter will come next year from "The Nazi's" (aka Sheehan Park Management).

Happy Fourth of July to everyone!!

Dirt bikes and 4-wheelers

Drew jumping the "big" hill

Dirk and Drew...I think Drew is trying to get Dirk's 4-wheeler started.
Allyson and Isaiah trying to steal Dirks 4-wheeler but of course she first has to pose for the picture and then can't figure out how to start it. So Dirk showed her and they soon took off.

Fun at Aunt Julie's!

All of the kids together...how did I do it?? I told them I was sending this picture to China! It works every time. Too bad Ayden looks like he's stoned. :)
